Meet Jameelah Z. Brown ~ CEO, Dazzle Me Productions

Nicci Writes It:

“Jameelah, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy schedule and linking with me... sooo let's get into it sis!!!”

Nicci Writes It:

“Fren do you remember how old you were when you fell in love with becoming media personality & owning your production company?

Jameelah Z. Brown:

“My dad was a drama teacher and I would always go through his stuff reading plays he wrote. It motivated me to want to write. I would write my own little plays and my sister and I would perform them, but it was when I was about 10 and I saw the movie School Daze, and I loved the cinematography even at that age. My mom was a librarian, and she told me that they had some books in the library with his scripts. I checked them out and studied the writing style and film terms. I knew then that I wanted to focus on a future in media/entertainment.”

Nicci Writes It:

“Fren do you recall the moment YOU decided, ‘okay, I’ve found my calling? ‘Owning my own production company and becoming a media maven is LIFE?”

Jameelah Z. Brown:

“Dazzle Me Please initially was a boutique public relations firm and I worked with up-and-coming recording artists. I moved more into film production after working on a few productions and  taking a few courses in film directing and production. I completed an MFA in Creative Writing and I was determined to branch out and take Dazzle Me Please to the next level.”

Nicci Writes It:

“Fren, the Dazzle Me Productions experience… how did you fall in love with all your gifts and decide to incorporate them into Dazzle Me Productions? How did it take off?”

Jameelah Z. Brown:

“It started when I was very young. I always wrote short stories and plays. I wanted to go to film school but living in Miami didn’t really provide that option. My twin sister and I were both going away to college, so we had to think economically. I majored in broadcast journalism. I loved it, and that took me into the realm of hosting and being in-front of the camera. I am a great writer with personality so why not. My first production with Dazzle Me Please was a web series “You Can’t Pick Family” that was loosely based on my family. Then I created 2 additional YouTube shows hosted by me, “What in the Hell Am I Doing Wrong,” and “Sippin with Jameelah B…”

Nicci Writes It:

“Fren please spill all the tea about your brand, Dazzle Me Productions?”

Jameelah Z. Brown:

“I named my production company Dazzle Me Please because it describes me. I must be dazzled to be entertained. I am not a plain person, so I thought it would be fitting...”

Nicci Writes It:

“Fren, do you have a niche clientele? If so, who are they & why?

Jameelah Z. Brown:

“With my current projects, I do not have a niche clientele. I am just seeking an audience who appreciates my content.”

Nicci Writes It:

“Hey Fren, what celebrity would you like to interview and why?

Jameelah Z. Brown:

“I would love to interview Issa Rae because she started her journey on YouTube and she is the blueprint for what I would like to do.”

Nicci Writes It:

“Hey Fren where do you see Dazzle Me Productions in three years?”

Jameelah Z. Brown:

“In the next 3 years, I would like to expand my subscribers and revise my web series.”

Nicci Writes It:

“Fren, how do you converse with a client who says, ‘I don’t agree with your advice, you’ve got my situation all wrong.’

Jameelah Z. Brown:

“When I was doing PR, I would accept my client’s feedback and respond professionally. I worked with artists, so they were very sensitive and passionate about their work. I would try to work towards something that would reach the goal, but I would be very honest with them and provide options, but it was up to them what the next steps would be.”

Nicci Writes It:

“Hey Fren what are 3 things you can’t ever be without?”

Jameelah Z. Brown:

“3 things that I can’t ever be without is my Macbook, coffee, and my phone.”

Nicci Writes It:

“Hey Fren what’s your dream for Dazzle Me Productions?”

Jameelah Z. Brown:

“To develop major productions and have them on major networks and streaming apps.”

Nicci Writes It:

“Fren, what do you love most about owning your own production company?”

Jameelah Z. Brown:

“I make my own rules.”

Nicci Writes It:

“Hey Fren how do you perfect your media personality traits?”

Jameelah Z. Brown:

“I always critique myself and ask others for constructive criticism. I follow trends and study others who are successful in the industry.”

Nicci Writes It:

“Hey fren let’s talk about your speaking events. How do you get the word out about your services?”

Jameelah Z. Brown:

“I mainly advertise on social media. If someone wants to invite me on their platform, I can be reached on social media or via email dazzlemepleaseprod@gmail.com.”

Nicci Writes It:

“Hey Fren the Werds Women & Wine crew wants to know what’s Jameelah’s advice for future media personalities but aren’t confident in their ability?”

Jameelah Z. Brown:

“If you don’t believe in yourself, no one will. I have the philosophy that even if I fail, at least I tried, and every experience is a learning experience, you can’t do anything but grow.”

Nicci Writes It:

“Hey Fren what’s your favorite quote and why?

Jameelah Z. Brown:

“My favorite quote/motto is to “Do one thing everyday that makes you happy.” I live by that. It can be something as simple as drinking coffee, but it is something that makes me happy.”

Nicci Writes It:

“Fren please provide me some brand content …so my women, wine, and werds crew will know how to connect with you…

Jameelah Z. Brown:

https://www.youtube.com/dazzlemepleaseproductions It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
