Nicci’s Why

Hey Good good gurlfrens! As you all know I’m a wife. Mom. Daughter. Sister. Best Friend. My goal before my head hits the pillow each day is to be the best Nicci I can be in all areas of my life. Nicci Writes It is a woman’s empowerment movement dedicated to inspiring black women to push the envelope! It’s time for my booked ‘n busy lady bosses to walk in their purpose, start that business, write that book, start that blog, or launch that podcast. I created Nicci Writes It to boost my self-esteem as a black woman, sistapreneur trying to make it, but to inspire my fellow sistapreneurs to kick off their stilettos, step into their Nikes and run to their purpose.

I’m a tomboy at heart. This brand is for my T-shirt and skinny jean loving sistas. The booked ‘n busy bougie business babe who’s always jet-setting. Not only is she an influencer but she’s career-driven woman about her business.

Who is Nicci?

Nicci is a published author of two books "Gotta Be Destiny" & "Taming Kane Claiming Mia", a news producer, and lover of the written werd. As a journalist with over two decades devoted to producing news, Nicci was notorious for writing witty snarky, and sometimes controversial news copy that entertained Northeast Ohio's viewing audience.

As a storyteller, Nicci has since devoted her time to creating creative content, brand building, consulting, ghostwriting, and editing for her clientele who range from lifestyle coaches, photographers, entrepreneurs, radio hosts, community activists, social influencers, and philanthropists. 

Writing is and will always be Nicci’s, first love. Writing is like breathing for her. She is a devout sentence-slayin' word whispering whimsical romance writer with a uniquely honeyed voice that shines through in her novels. When Nichole isn't finessing witty word gumbo, she can be found consulting clients on how to craft a lit elevator pitch in 30 seconds or less and developing websites for clients on Squarespace & Wix. Nicci is an avid Autism advocate, JC is her homeboy and lives in the 216 with her husband and eight-year-old son.
