Mia Tosses Drink in Dr. Wendy’s Face

As an educated black woman holding two degrees, (Ima get off my Dr. Wendy high horse lol in a min) I have to say EVERYTHING about this picture of a BLACK woman tossing a drink in another BLACK woman's face BOTHERS the fawk outta me.

If you're a fan of the Housewives franchasise, you already know our gay Fairy God Muva Andy Cohen is going to bring the dysfunctional drama that always shines a trifling scathing light on black women. It's not a good look y'all. We know it, but yet and still we set our DVRs and salivate watching the upcoming episode's previews.

We know why our educated black sistas are signing up for this show. We know why they're putting their lives, family lives, and other personal business out there for women like ME (who has no dog in any fight) to scrutinize as I pour myself a glass of Riesling, my Smartfood white cheddar popcorn and settle in on the couch for the ratchet reality realness. They're not just taping their LIVES for the clout. They're doing it for the COINZ. Think about it. The average NEW Potomac housewife makes an estimated $60,000 for her first season. If you have an agent and BRAVO WANTS you, baby you could bring in a hella of a lot more. If a woman decides to STAY on as a regular her salary would double to $120,000 for the second season and increase to $300,000 by the third season. (WAYMENT let me go get an agent and start the Real Housewives of East Cleveland) lol, but I digress.

These woman are most definitely doing it for the COINZ. Yes, they want the fame and the insta following but at the end of the day baby they wanna take care of their families and pamper themselves as well. Anyway back to the topic at hand. This drank tossing just wasn't cool.

Let's talk about Ms. Mia Thornton. Mia came to the group last season (6) and was brought into the fold by the Grand Dame Karen Huger. Mia wasn't shy either. She came into the group telling ALL about her plastic and clit surgeries. We also know that Mia married Gordon who was an ALLEGED frequent client of the BOOM BOOM room where Mia worked as an ENTERTAINER. This season tho Mia let us all know that she was having an AFFAIR with her then married husband Gordon who she now shares two children with. They've been married for 10 years. Anyway as Mia entered the group she made quite an impression and LIED her way into the season pretending she didn't know how old she was etc etc. She was giving FAKE and PHONY and found herself in a quick altercation with Candiace Bassett during a trip. Y'all remember SALAD gate where she and Candiace had it out and Candiace fed her a nice plate full of rabbit food during a weekend getaway trip Dr. Wendy planned for the group.

Anyway Mia who is running contradiction and screams women's empowerment (is anything but pro women) is an entrepreneur and owns several Joint Chriopractic clinics across the country. That being said she is messy as hell and is a chronic pot stirrer. Season 7 has not disappointed. This brings me to my point with Drink~gate. It was apparent in the episodes leading up to this one that she and Dr. Wendy just don't FAWK with each other. Hence her throwing a girls trip to MIA and putting Candiace and Wendy in a room together with a damn twin bed. Mia has already expressed her disdain for Dr. Wendy saying that she's condescending and hard to like. Which I don't DISAGREE with.

Dr. Wendy who is Nigerian came onto the show carrying an HEIR about herself. Can we blame her? Eh. I'm not going to lie. Her credentials are quite impressive. She is a black educated woman, is a prof at John's Hopkins, and is a political commentator where she goes toe to toe with all the political foes I despise. Dr. Wendy is my fawking spirit animal. She is BLACK GIRL MAGIC personified however, the HEIR she has about herself is what makes her unlikable. She has shoved her degrees down our damn throats and quite frankly we tired of hearing about it. SIS, it's hard to CONGRATULATE your achievements when every other day you're leading with your credentials. It has turned us OFF. It has made you unlikable, and it has made you intolerable to the masses however, I do not condone a drink being tossed in your face.

No doubt. Mia set Wendy up. We know that Wendy had a chat with Peter Thomas about potentially opening a Nigerian themed restaurant. We seen her and Eddie chat about it. We were there for the meeting when Peter shared that she would have to shell out about $300,000 of her own coinz just to get the party started. What we learned during the MIAMI trip is that Mia, and Peter are like family. So when Mia announced who was all on the girls trip she SALIVATED and got WET the moment Peter announced that he had BEEF with Wendy. She couldn't wait to carry her big footed ass to tell Gizelle and Ashley about the drama. Mia knew what the hell she was doing when she had the ladies inside of Bar One restaurant. We could see Wendy was mad uncomfortable, but like a true spades player Wen didn't let us know she was sweating. The drama transpired after Peter welcomed the ladies and walked away. She figured that would be a GREAT time to see what the BEEF was. She chatted with Peter and he told her that he basically sent Wendy a contract and she didn't respond.

Wendy tho revealed receipts that it was not a contract. It was paperwork for her to review. She also showed text receipts that she wanted a walk thru of the property before she decided to continue further and Peter didn't respond. Now anyone watching The RHOA franchise already know how Peter Thomas ALLEGEDLY does business. We say how Cynthia mama and sister basically HID their wedding license so Cyn couldn't marry him. Dude, couldn't even PAY for his wedding to Cyn! Peter ALLEGEDLY isn't that great of a businessman. No cap. Sooo we could see why Wen was apprehensive.

Anyway Mia and her fake hype woman mentality about Wendy not responding to her family and wanting to confront Wendy wasn't her business. Mia had no business taking that shit back to the group. Her tossing the drink in Wendy's face was DISGUSTING and GHETTO, but again lookiing at the source you can't really complain now can you?

Following the drink being tossed I honestly feel like Wendy should've WALKED away. Sis, you're a whole ass professor at the prestigous John Hopkins University and you're a political commentator. Not a good look whatsoever. Embarrassed you had to go off and meet Mia at her lowest ghetto moment. Not even thinking about your whole ass professional career and status. Our Forever Flotus said it best, when they go low, we go high, but Wen said nah, I'm go lower and meet you in the damn gutter.
