Shanquella Robinson’s Family Sues ‘Cabo 6’, FBI on 2nd Anniversary of Her Death
Two years…
October 29th marks two years since Shanquella Robinson was tragically beaten to death while on a trip to Cabo St. Lucas with friends. Her family isn’t resting and is now suing the six friends she was vacationing with accusing them of playing a part in her death - as well as the FBI for failing to slap the cuffs on those involved.
Shanquella Robinson died while on vacation with a group of friends, referred to in the lawsuit as the “Cabo Six,” who told police the 25-year-old died from alcohol poisoning — when she the autopsy revealed Shanquella died from a broken neck.
Shortly after Robinson’s death, videos emerged across social media of her being beaten by friends however, the FBI declined to bring charges or make arrests.
“We need justice for Shanquella Robinson,” Sallamondra Robinson, Shanquella’s mother, said, according to WCNC. “It’s been two years and there’s no reason that no one has been arrested yet. I need justice for my child.”
Reports suggest Daejhana Jackson was responsible for planning the trip (October 28-31), revealing a timeline leading up to Robinson’s death. Hotel staff say the group arrived that night and went to dinner. While at dinner staffers noticed Shanquella was isolated from the group and seemed out of place. A fight reportedly took place the next morning between 7:00-8:30 am. Five hours later Jackson reportedly called the front desk requesting medical attention. When the medics arrived they were told Shanquella had been drinking. Shanquella was pronounced dead at 5:56 p.m.

The family’s lawsuit comes also names the US Department of State and FBI as defendants claiming both agencies are responsible for failing to investigate and delaying justice
